Sandra Mary Swann recently shared her thoughts on The
Safest Hiding Place:
“A thoroughly enjoyable read. I took my time with this one,
savouring every moment in Venice. The character of Martin Snow is probably my
favourite of Spencer Coleman’s characters so far, but I enjoyed getting to know
every one of the characters in this book. I love the way Snow interacts with
the reader, drawing you in further. The language used by the author in this
book is at times beautifully poetic. Eagerly awaiting the next Spencer Coleman
novel.”
Sandra’s reflection is truly appreciated. It’s always
rewarding to hear when a reader chooses to slow down and savour the atmosphere
of a story, especially one set in a place as evocative as Venice. I’m really
glad Martin Snow and the wider cast felt engaging, and that the language and
tone created that immersive, almost poetic experience she described.
